A farmhouse in Lower Farm Road, Boughton Monchelsea, has been left damaged by fire.

Four pumps were sent to the blaze after it was reported at 5.10am Tuesday March 8, and firefighters were still on the scene damping down three hours later.

No one was injured in the blaze, but 10 per cent of the first floor of the house was damaged by fire and further damage has been caused by heat and smoke.

An investigation into what caused the fire is underway.
