A woman was injured after crashing her car on the Thanet Way at Whitstable this morning.

Emergency crews raced to the scene after the one-car smash shortly before 11am.

The injured woman – who was driving a Vauxhall Corsa – was given first aid by a passing firefighter.

One lane of the London-bound carriageway was closed while the vehicle was recovered.
