Female car driver killed in crash is named

A 39-year-old woman who died after her car smashed into a wall after a two-vehicle collision on the A228 near Pembury on Monday has been identified by police.

Lisa Kent-Davies, of Old Kent Road, Pembury, was driving a silver Mazda MX5 towards Maidstone just after 7am when it collided with a white Toyota Hilux van travelling in the opposite direction.

Her car was then in collision with a wall resulting in Mrs Kent-Davies suffering fatal injuries.

An inquest will be opened later this week.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw the vehicles in the area or witnessed the collision to contact them on the Serious Collision Investigation Unit’s witness appeal line on 01622 798538.

The road was closed from the Badsell roundabout and the traffic lights on Pembury High Street while emergency services including officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit attended. The road re-opened about 11.45am.
