Father in motorcycle tragedy

A FATHER of three children has been killed in a motorcycle accident. John Small, 36, from Green Lane, Bethersden, near Ashford, died when his Kawasaki ZX12R motorcycle crashed into a tree on the A21 near Robertsbridge in East Sussex.

Mr Small leaves a widow, Sue, and sons Tony, eight, and Shaun, five. His daughter, Rachel, is just 11 months old. It will be her first birthday on Monday.

Mr Small, who ran the Millfield Garage in Harden Road, Lydd, with friend Kelvin Holmes, was out riding with friends when the accident happened.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash and it is thought Mr Small hit a pothole or stone in the road. He was taken to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday at the Charing Crematorium.
