Police investigating a sex attack in Britannia Lane, Ashford, have released this e-fit

A fat sex attacker is being hunted after a woman was assaulted while walking her dog.

The victim, in her 40s, was in waste ground off Britannia Lane, Ashford, when she noticed a man in the path.

The man he grabbed her from behind and she was assaulted at about 9.30am on Thursday.

Her attacker ran off in the direction of Britannia Lane when the woman screamed.

Now detectives have released an efit of the man they are hunting.

Kent Police said he is a fat white man, 5ft 10in and was wearing a beige baseball cap and lilac t-shirt.

DI Chris Carter, from Kent Police, said: "We have carried out a number of inquiries and are appealing for help from the public to identify the suspect.

"While we progress with the investigation I would advise people to avoid walking alone in wooded and secluded areas and to report anyone acting suspicious immediately by phoning 999."

Anyone who knows the identity of the man is asked to phone Kent Police on 101, quoting crime reference ZY/ 25173/12, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
