POLICE have issued an electronic likeness of a man they want to interview following an assault on a bus driver from Broadstairs.

The 61-year-old driver was treated for face injuries at the Queen Mother Hospital at Margate following the incident in Ramsgate Road, Sandwich, on Friday, January 17.

A police spokesman said: “The passenger boarded the bus outside Barclays Bank in Sandwich at around 5.40 pm, and assaulted the driver five minutes later, before getting off the bus at the Pfizer stop.”

He is in his mid 50s, 6ft tall, has dark hair, was clean-shaven and smelt of alcohol. He wore a dark anorak and a light coloured shirt. Police believe he may live in Ramsgate.

Anyone who recognises the man from the e-fit, or has information, is asked to contact PC Sean Williams on 01304 218021.
