Former boyband singer Lee Ryan has been fined £500 for punching a taxi driver in the head.

Guildford Magistrates' Court heard the ex-Blue singer, who used to live in Chatham, floored Naeem Ibrahim during a row - after his fiancee had driven into the back of the cab.

Ryan, 24, who now lives in Bromley, was also been ordered to pay his victim £750 in compensation and costs.

He had denied assaulting the taxi driver during the incident in Oxted, Surrey, last New Year's Eve.

He had claimed the cabbie assaulted him because he was famous.
