Eurostar is being taken to the High Court after awarding a £500 million order for new high speed trains to a German company instead of a French one.

The train operator chose Siemens to supply a new fleet of high-speed passenger trains for the Channel Tunnel routes to Paris, Brussels, and beyond.

The first one has already made a test run to London.

But French firm Alstom is trying to stop them, saying the German trains don't meet new safety regulations.
