All Eurostar trains are cancelled
between London and Brussels today, and tomorrow
(Wednesday) following a fatal accident between two commuter
trains in Belgium.

Two trains collided head-on near the town of Halle, on the
route in to the Belgian capital. More than 20 people were killed in
the crash on Monday morning.

Eurostars use conventional tracks between the end of the high
speed line and their terminus at Bruxelles Midi station.

The operator says its services to the city will remain
suspended for the rest of Tuesday.

Paris Eurostars are not affected and Lille trains are running
with delays.

In a statement, Eurostar said: "We are operating a reduced
timetable between its UK stations and Lille. Services between
London and Paris / Disneyland Resort Paris are operating
normally.

"Because of the seriousness of the accident and the expected
impact on both domestic and international rail services, passengers
between the UK and Brussels are strongly advised to postpone or
cancel their journeys."

More information will be found on the Eurostar website or 08432 186186.

Eurostar tickets can be exchanged for another day or
refunded.
