Elderly burglary victim released from hospital

POLICE have made a fresh appeal for information about a burglary that left an elderly man with a broken hip.

The incident took place at an address in Ball Lane, Kennington in Ashford.

The owner of the house, a 73 year-old man went into the kitchen where he saw a man standing there.

He told the intruder to leave, but as he did so the pair became involved in a tussle, during which the elderly man fell and broke his hip.

He was hospitalised for several weeks, but has now been released.

The incident occured between 11am and 12.30pm on November 6, and the intruder is described as a slim, young man, 5ft 6in tall, wearing a light blue hooded top underneath a black hip length jacket.
