Detectives are hunting this man after a woman in her 90s was targeted by bogus workmen

This man is being hunted by detectives after a woman in her 90s had hundreds of pounds stolen in a distraction burglary.

The victim was targeted by a man who called at her home in Brooks Way, Lydd, asking if she wanted her lawn cut.

Kent Police said after he left, at between 2pm and 3pm last Wednesday, she realised the cash had been taken.

The man detectives are seeking features in the efit pictured left.

He was wearing glasses and is described as slim, with short, dark hair. It is thought he might have been driving a dark Land Rover Discovery.

Kent Police said people should not let anyone into their property unless the caller can provide valid identification.

Witnesses are asked to phone police on 101, quoting reference ZY/014149/12, or Kent CrimeStoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
