A man who faces drugs-related charges is being sought by police after failing to turn up in court.

Officers from Kent Police’s Serious and Organised Crime Unit are hunting Sidney Clark, 48, of Tonbridge Road, Barming, after he missed a crown court hearing.

Mr Clark was due at a plea and directions hearing on Tuesday of last week, after he was charged with production of cannabis, abstraction of electricity and two counts of possession of cannabis, earlier this year.

Police believe he may have left the area, taking his pet Labrador with him.

In February Mr Clark narrowly escaped serious injury when a plane he was piloting crashed near Hythe.

Anyone with information about Mr Clark’s whereabouts should contact Det Con Chris D’Ardenne on 01303 289355 or Kent Crimestoppers 0800 555 111. You don’t have to give your name when you call Crimestoppers and you may be eligible for a reward.
