A LORRY driver managed to free himself after his vehicle overturned on a roundabout off the M20.

Emergency services were called to the accident, which happened around 3.40pm on Monday, at a roundabout off junction five (Aylesford).

Fire crews said the driver had managed to free himself before they arrived. An spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said the driver was uninjured, but as a precaution he was taken to Maidstone Hospital.

The accident caused a tailback while the vehicle was being recovered.
