Driver in head-on crash dies in hospital

A 17-year-old driver has died in hospital following a head-on collision with another car.

He died at the QEQM Hospital at Margate on Friday morning. He has not yet been named.

The boy, who was from Chestfield, was driving a Ford Fiesta when the collision with a Renault Megane happened in Radfall Road, Whitstable, at around 8am on Sunday, February 4.

The 46-year-old driver of the Renault, from Whitstable, suffered minor injuries and has been released from hospital.
