Driver arrested after fatal smash on M20

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a fatal collision on the M20.

A lorry driver was killed in the incident which happened between Ashford and Hythe on Friday, February 3.

Kent Police were called to the scene at about 1.30pm after receiving reports that an articulated lorry had tipped over on the coastbound carriageway.

The collision involved a Polish registered articulated goods lorry and a silver Renault Clio. The lorry driver died at the scene.

The man arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving has been bailed to return in April.

Kent Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed either vehicle before the collision, or who may have seen the collision. Officers can be contacted on 01622 798 538.
