Sam Cutler’s late strike earned Dover a point in their top of the table clash against Bromley in Blue Square Bet South at Crabble on Saturday afternoon.

The Whites were indebted to the 20-year-old midfielder who received the ball outside the area on 89 minutes and curled sweetly into the top corner to send the majority of the crowd of more than 1,200 wild.

Bromley had gone ahead shortly before the hour when a corner was swung into the near post and midfielder Tutu Henriques glanced past Athletic keeper Lee Hook who was caught in no man’s land.

Bromley had gone closest to the opening goal inside 10 minutes when a header grazed the post, but Whites went close through Adam Birchall and Harry Baker before Matt Fish (pictured) was called on to make a vital tackle with the visitors poised to go ahead shortly before half-time.

The draw saw Bromley fall two points behind leaders Braintree in second while Dover slipped to sixth after being overhauled by Welling United.
