Delay in recovering jackknifed lorry

RUSH-HOUR drivers were faced with long delays on the M20 between Leybourne and Wrotham this morning as a recovery team struggled to remove a lorry from the side of the motorway.

The Dutch lorry had jackknifed at junction two, near Wrotham, on Saturday evening and it was decided to wait until yesterday's daytime traffic had passed to minimise disruption.

But the recovery took longer than expected, leaving hundreds of drivers stuck in traffic this morning.
