Dean Cracknell has agreed to stay with Welling for the coming season.

The midfielder (pictured), who missed much of the previous campaign with a foot injury, scored seven goals in 20 matches for the Wings.

His signing will come as a major boost for Welling fans on the back of the capture of Gillingham striker Andy Pugh and Luis Cumbers.

Welling boss Jamie Day said: "I'm delighted to have agreed terms with Dean. He is a good addition to the squad and will increase the competition for places."

Cracknell joined Welling in July last year and has also had spells with Stevenage, St Albans, Staines and Hemel Hempstead.

His goal tally last season included a memorable hat-trick against Maidenhead.
