Kent all-rounder Darren Stevens has been named in the England squad for next month’s Hong Kong Sixes.

The county's player-of-the-year, who was involved in the event last winter, has been named in a seven strong squad along with fellow all-rounders Rikki Clarke, Steven Croft and former Kent player Peter Trego for the two-day event in Kowloon on November 6 and 7.

Surrey captain Rory Hamilton-Brown will skipper the side, while Sussex batsman Chris Nash and Somerset’s Jos Buttler complete the line-up.

Stevens said: “I had a great trip last year so am delighted to be selected again.

"It was a great shame that we lost in the semi-final but it was still good fun.

"Hopefully we can enjoy another good tournament and perhaps go all the way this time.”

England will play Australia, South Africa and Hong Kong in the pool stage.
