Crash pilot's passenger 'may be paralysed'

The pilot of a light aircraft which crashed near Wye has spoken for the first time about the incident.

Justyn Gorman, 42, revealed that his partner who was a passenger in the plane may be left paralysed by her extensive injuries.

The aircraft came down in a field at Hastingleigh at about 3pm on Bank Holiday Monday, May 26, and a dramatic rescue, involving an RAF helicopter, fire crews and paramedics, followed.

Mr Gorman says he has only vague memories of the crash. He remembers the bad weather and low visibility.
