A crash on the approach road to the Medway City Estate caused long delays for drivers this morning.

Emergency services were called to the A289 Anthony's Way between the Wainscott Bypass and the entrance to the estate shortly after 8am.

One side of the dual-carriageway was closed by police after a motorcyclist collided with at least one car.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area and find alternative routes onto the estate.

One motorist travelling from Gillingham to Gravesend said: "The bike was on the road and one guy was speaking to the ambulance man. There were two cars parked up on the side of the road, but I couldn't see which ones were damaged.

"If you were coming from the Wainscott bypass direction, you couldn't get onto the estate as the police had completely shut the road leading to the roundabout."
