Crash driver trapped in car

A 46-year-old man was cut free from his car this morning following a crash on the A26 Tonbridge Road, Teston, near Maidstone.

Firefighters from Maidstone were called at about 6am and spent more than an hour using hydraulic cutting equipment to free the trapped driver.

He was taken to Maidstone Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The incident caused minor traffic delays until the road was cleared by about 8am and there were no other reported injuries or vehicles involved.
