Crash driver, 16, in fight for life

A TEENAGER is still fighting for his life following a road crash in a dark country lane at Nonington, near Dover.

Christopher Clarke, 16, from Worth, near Sandwich, was driving a car in Easole Street towards Aylesham when the vehicle flipped onto its roof.

A passer-by raised the alarm and firefighters and ambulance crews worked together to release him from the Ford Escort.

Christopher was taken to the Kent and Canterbury Hospital but later transferred to the Atkinson Moreley Hospital in Wimbledon. A spokesman for St Georges Healthcare and NHS Trust said his condition was critical but stable.
