Couple's terrifying ordeal at hands of raid gang

THREE men forced their way into a couple's Kent home and stole several pounds in cash.

The robbery took place in Bush Road, Cuxton, near Rochester, at around 9.30pm on Wednesday.

The couple, who are in their 60s, did not suffer any serious injuries in the incident, although they were threatened by the gang.

Two of the offenders are described as black and the other man is thought to be Eastern European.

Police are keen to trace a light-coloured executive-style car that was seen in the area about an hour before the raid.

Det Con Graham Leighton said: "We are keen to gather as much information as possible so we can arrest those responsible for this rare crime."

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 01634 792528 or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
