POLICE are today continuing their search for 19-year-old Terry Reynolds who has been missing since the early hours of New Year’s Day.

Officers are searching an area near the picnic site at Blue Bell Hill, near Chatham, and Coney Banks at Gillingham.

A specialist tracker dog is also being used and air support is being provided by Essex Police.

Detectives are also following up information from calls made by the public following media appeals by Terry’s mother and father yesterday.

A number of people have telephoned the special hotline number 01634 792492 and officers are following up reports of possible sightings of the teenager in and around Chatham.

Terry was last seen on CCTV in Star Hill, Rochester, just after midnight on New Year's Day.

His mother Jane Reynolds said: "Terry is lovely natured and there is no reason for him to go missing. He always rings to let us know where he is. This is so out of character."

Terry is white, 5ft 11in tall, of medium build with blue eyes, short black-cropped hair and a tanned complexion.

When he was least seen he was wearing jeans and brown shoes. He was also wearing a blue and green Fred Perry jumper with a white stripe running across the shoulders and lower down across the waist.

Police have released CCTV images of three men who may have information that could help the investigation.

The three men were captured on CCTV on New Year's Eve at Aaron Stone’s Casino Rooms nightclub in Rochester. They were seen to walk with Terry after he left the club. It is not thought that they are involved in his disappearance.

Det Insp Mike Morgan: "We are keen to trace these men as Terry may have given them information that could be crucial to our investigation. I would like to ask these men, or anyone who knows them, to get in contact with the police as soon as possible.'

"If you have seen Terry or have any other information concerning his disappearance please call 01634 792492."

If Terry is still missing tomorrow, police officers will be handing out leaflets between 10pm and 2am at the Casino Rooms – on what is Terry’s 20th birthday.

They want to find out from people who go to the nightclub if they saw Terry or talked to him or may have information on where he might be.
