Cliff fall man rescued

A man had to be rescued after tumbling down a steep hill on the Folkestone Downs.

Firefighters with line rescue equipment had to save the man who had fallen in the area of Crete Road West, Round Hill at about 4.20am today.

One fire engine from Folkestone and a line rescue team from Deal were called in.

The victim was brought up safely just before 6am and was carried to an ambulance.
