Churchill's granddaughter will share her memories

Celia Sandys, granddaughter of Sir Winston Churchill, will be speaking about the wartime leader when she visits Broadstairs at the weekend.

Sister to South Thanet Conservative parliamentary hopeful Laura Sandys, she has written five books about her grandfather and will be sharing her personal memories and taking questions on Sir Winston’s life and times.

Daughter of Sir Winston’s eldest child, Diana, she is an internationally acclaimed author, journalist, television personality and speaker.

Her most recent book is We Shall Not Fail - The Inspiring Leadership of Winston Churchill.

Her speeches are often accompanied by excerpts from some of her grandfather’s addresses as well as photographs and other material drawn from her private collection.
