A man was freed by firefighters yesterday after he got stuck in a CASH MACHINE.

Crews from Ashford were called to Tesco at Park Farm just before 1.30pm to reports of a man stuck in an ATM machine.

It is understood that he worked for a company that puts the money into the machines located at the Moat Field Meadow store.

A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue said the man had to be "freed from a secure room" after finding himself locked inside.

Using heavy-duty hydraulic cutting equipment firefighters were able to free the man after an hour.
