Children take to the streets in Gravesend

Sorry, this video asset has been removed.

It may have been finger sandwiches rather than jelly and ice
cream on the menu in Gravesend today - but it was still quite a
party.

More than 500 school children took part in
a parade through the town centre to celebrate the
royal wedding.

Of course no royal knees-up is complete without
entertainment - so the children then introduced to the
delights of Queen for the first time, courtesy of a Freddie Mercury
impersonator.

You can check out all the rest of the action at one of Kent's
biggest street parties in our video above.
