A baby airlifted to hospital yesterday has died after suffering a cardiac arrest.

Kent Air Ambulance landed on Sheerness Beach at 9.35am and took two-month-old Anthony Sean Gary Pollard to Medway Maritime Hospital.

He passed away at 10.27am.

His granddad, Paul Shipley, posted online and thanked the emergency services.

He said: "Unfortunately, despite the amazing efforts of the ambulance service, the police and Kent Air Ambulance, he passed away.

"We (his grandparents) would like to pass on our thanks to everyone involved and especially to all the nurses at Medway A&E."
