Canterbury head coach Danny Vaughan hailed the 22-13 National League Two South win at Kent rivals Westcombe Park on Saturday as a "terrific team performance".

A gale force wind rain made conditions difficult, but Canterbury mastered them well, in a return to form that saw them take five points from the game.

Vaughan (pictured) called for his team to maintain concentration for 80 minutes, and his players responded in a game that was physical and never pretty.

Four tries by Cristoff Blom, Pat Sykes, Tom Rogers and skipper Chris Hinkins, set-up the victory in the first meeting between the two clubs for three years.

Three of them came in the second-half, with Sykes levelling the scores, before Hinkins returned from 10 minutes in the sin-bin to seal the win, Phil Gibson adding the conversion.
