Cannabis farm found in former polo club

Hundreds of cannabis plants worth £36,000 have been found at a former polo club.

Police found more than 300 plants when they stormed Wierton Place, in Wierton Road, Boughton Monchelsea.

The property used to operate as an exclusive nightclub and polo club.

A 52-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.

A 23-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of possessing cannabis.

Both men have been bailed until Friday, November 19, to return to Maidstone Police station.
