Five players came in or went out of The Valley during a busy transfer deadline day for Charlton on Tuesday.

Striker Leon McKenzie, winger Luke Holden and defender Sam Sodje joined the Addicks, while Yassin Moutaouakil and Stuart Fleetwood went out on loan.

Manager Phil Parkinson told the club's website: "We needed to move quickly and strengthen the squad the best way we could in the circumstances.

"Obviously, it's a difficult position for the club at the moment, and there have been some uncertainties regarding the financial situation, but we're pleased with how things went."

Despite speculation linking Jonjo Shelvey and Nicky Bailey with moves away from the club, both remain at The Valley.
