A MAN charged with causing an affray and common assault after an incident at a bungalow in Queenborough was remanded on conditional bail until July 21 by Sittingbourne magistrates today.

Christopher Richard Young, 49, of Davies Lane, Leytonstone, was ordered not to visit Sheppey, to live at his home in London and to report to local police three times a week.

He was arrested after police armed with baton guns, shields and protective vests entered the property in Main Road, Queenborough on Monday following a two-hour seige.

Officers with five police cars were called to the bungalow at about 4.30pm after reports of a domestic disturbance.
