Pete Bull triumphed in the first race of the South East Point-to-Point season for the second year in a row at Detling on Sunday.

He rode Sidney Charles to an impressive six lengths to win in Division 1 of the maiden.

The 2007 South East champion Philip Hall enjoyed a 15 length victory in the second race and has now won at every South East circuit.

Josh Moore, 17, rode Jack's Present to victory in the novice race to record his first point-to-point victory.

There was a surprise result in the Ladies' Open in which strong favourite Big Moment missed out and Cynthia Haydon, on Roaringwater, dominated on the final circuit for victory by two lengths.
