Building destroyed by fire

A barn conversion was badly damaged by fire this morning.

At one point, six fire crews were fighting the blaze in St Ann’s Green Lane, Marden, which broke out in the roof space just after 7am.

The roof later collapsed and the remainder of the building was badly damaged by the fire.

Crews from Maidstone, Marden and Headcorn were called to the scene and two crews from Cranbrook and Rainham were later also called in. No one was injured in the blaze.
