Two football mad brothers are on the sidelines at the moment - because they have both broken arms in recent games.

Sean and Luke Webber, from Court Road, St Nicholas, both play for Monkton Youth FC and have been hurt in successive games.

Sean, 14, was the first to be injured when playing in a six-a-side tournament in Canterbury. He clashed with the opposing goalkeeper and landed badly on his right arm.

The following week 12-year-old Luke hurt himself in a game against Deal after a sliding tackle saw him land on his left arm.

Both boys are hoping they will have fully recoverd in time for the kick off of the new season in a few weeks time.

Dad Gary said: “They can’t play for at least five weeks which is frustrating for them as they’re both mad keen on sport. They can’t wait to get back in action once more.”
