Boys held after 30 graves are vandalised

Two boys, aged 11 and 14, have been arrested after 30 graves were vandalised at a Kent cemetery.

Vases and lights on the graves were smashed in the Ascot section of Maidstone Cemetery in Sutton Road in the town.

The boys have both been released on bail pending further investigation and are due to return to Maidstone police station on August 6.

The vandalism happened at some point between 4pm on Wednesday and 8.20pm the following day.
