A schoolboy faced an embarrassing trip to hospital when he got his hand stuck in a chair.

The Rochester Math School pupil became jammed after poking his finger through a hole.

He went to Medway Maritime Hospital yesterday with the chair still attached to his hand.

Firefighters were called to the Windmill Road, Gillingham, hospital to help medical staff at about 3pm.

A crew from Medway station spent about half-an-hour freeing the boy's hand.
