Boy stabbed in late-night attack

POLICE have appealed for information after a boy of 16 suffered five stab wounds to his back during an assault.

The incident occurred in Minster Road, Minster, near Sheerness. The victim had been out for the evening in a local public house.

When he left the pub, two men drove past him, stopped the car got out and assaulted him. It is believed a bottle may have been used.

The two men then got back in the car and drove off. Police later found the vehicle. The teeenager was taken to Gillingham's Medway Maritime Hospital but later released.

One of the men is described as being white, aged 18 to 20, 6ft tall, slim to medium build, blond hair with a large nose. He was wearing a cream jumper, white trousers and white trainers.

The second man is described as white/mixed race, aged between 18 and 20, slim to medium build, dark short receding hair with gaps in his teeth and a mole on the right side of his face. He was wearing a navy blue adidas tracksuit.

The incident happened at about 11pm last Friday. Witnesses are asked to contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
