A teenager from Chattenden will appear in court today after allegedly shining a laser light at the Kent Police helicopter earlier this week.

Jordan Burnett, 18, was charged with recklessly or negligently acting in a manner likely to endanger aircraft, after apparently shining the light at the helicopter on Monday night.

Burnett, of Elmwood Road, is due before magistrates in Medway this afternoon.
