Police investigating the disappearance of a Kent woman have discovered a body in Herefordshire.

Caroline Rickards, 47, of Old Wives Lees, near Canterbury, went missing on Tuesday morning.

Officers from Kent conducting the missing person enquiry worked with officers from West Mercia Police after lines of inquiry started to emerge in the Herefordshire area.

The body of a woman was discovered on Thursday afternoon by police searching an area of Queenswood Country Park visitor centre, near Leominster.

Police believe there are no suspicious circumstances.
