A 35-YEAR-old man has appeared in court in connection with an attack at a boatyard in Kent.

Jamie Button, of Mount View Court, Old Road, Chatham, appeared before Maidstone magistrates on Saturday charged with attempted theft, robbery and grievous bodily harm with intent.

He was remanded in custody and will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on February 22.

A 31-year-old man suffered a fractured eye socket and severe head and facial injuries during the attack in Allington on February 2.
