Biker badly hurt as machine hits tree

A MOTORCYCLIST suffered multiple injuries when his bike spun out of control and collided with a tree.

The accident happened at about 2.45pm on Sunday in Golford Road, Cranbrook. Firefighters from Cranbrook and Hawkhurst, plus a rescue pump from Maidstone, were called to the scene.

The motorcyclist was taken to hospital by the Kent Air Ambulance. It is not yet known whether his injuries were life-threatening.
