CHRIS COWDREY: on the top table

FORMER Kent and England cricket captain Chris Cowdrey will join an impressive line-up of sporting celebrities taking part in a charity question and answer session in the county later this month.

The Chapter One Restaurant in Farnborough plays host to the charity sporting forum which will be chaired by ITV Sport presenter Jim Rosenthal.

Cowdrey will be joined on the top table by Charlton manager Alan Curbishley and motorsport pundit Tony Jardine.

The event takes place on Thursday, January 19, from 7.30pm and includes a three-course meal and an auction of sporting memorabilia, with proceeds going to Threshers Day Nursery, a refuge for disadvantaged children in Cray.

Tickets are available from sponsors Humphriss and Ryde estate agents at £65 each with reductions for tables of four and more. Call Nigel Humphriss on 07813 974091 or 01689 860999 for further details and tickets.
