Bernie Nolan is set to perform in Chicago next month despite being told her cancer has returned.

The singer, 52, has been told her that her breast cancer - which she was first diagnosed with in April 2010 - has come back and spread to her brain, lungs, liver and bones.

She's been told it's incurable but still treatable.

Earlier this week it was announced the Nolans were cancelling a final ever tour scheduled for next year.

However, the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury confirmed to What's On's sister radio station kmfm that Nolan is still planning to appear as Mama Morton in Chicago when the musical arrives on Monday, November 12.

She will continue the tour until December, when she starts in panto in Eastbourne.

The UK tour of Chicago also stars Ali Bastian and Stefan Booth.
