A man from Kingsdown who aspired to become a policeman died in a two-car crash.

Leigh Alan Walker, 22, died when the silver Renault Clio he was driving collided with a grey Renault Megane on the Ringwould Road, in Kingsdown, near Deal.

Police and other emergency services were called out but Mr Walker, of Upper Street, Kingsdown, was pronounced dead at the scene just before 8.40am on Friday.

Police closed the road in both directions until 2.20pm while officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit looked into the incident.

In a tribute to Mr Walker, his father Alan said: "Leigh, you will be sadly missed and never forgotten."
