Arson suspects spotted as car blazes

POLICE officers are appealing for witnesses to a car fire outside a house that caused damage estimated at £10,000.

The incident occurred in Adrian Square, Westgate-on-Sea. Witnesses saw two men wearing dark clothing running away from the area as the distinctive red AC Cobra burst into flames

Firefighters believe an accelerant was used in the incident which happened on September 26 at about 9pm.

Police are now making a public appeal for help. Anyone who witnessed the fire or has information is asked to contact DS Matt Banks at Margate Police Station on 01843 222 192.
