An investigation is under way after a possible arson attack on an industrial estate.

It is though arsonists may have been responsible for setting fire to two derelict portable buildings on Medway City Estate on Thursday evening.

Firefighters from Strood and Medway were called out to the burning buildings, next to an alleyway in Commissioners Road, Strood.

The two buildings were well alight as crews arrived on the scene just before 6.30pm and they battled the flames for almost an hour-and-a-half.

Thick black smoke coming from the fire could be seen in Rochester and crews finally put out the flames at about 7.50pm.
