A 41-year-old man from Birchington has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by reckless or dangerous driving following a road accident in Margate in May that claimed the life of 21-year-old Anthony Williams.

Police said that a man was arrested on Tuesday afternoon and has been bailed until July 1 pending a decision to prosecute.

Mr Williams, 21, from Ramsgate died in hospital after a car hit a lamppost in Ramsgate Road just after 6.30am on Wednesday, May 7.

He worked nights as a baker and forklift driver for Speciality Breads and his dad nicknamed him Pillsbury Dough Boy.

A tribute at the time from his family stated: "Anthony was a very caring young man who was hard-working and a home-loving boy.

"There are no words that can explain how we are feeling as a family. Anthony will be deeply missed."
